Abstract
The collective emission of the CS2 vapor at 400 mTorr in a 115-cm cell was observed, when the system was irradiated with a 1 mj pulsed laser of 20 ns duration at 343.57 nm. Dicke's theory of superradiance was applied to interpret the experimental data.
