Abstract
This paper deals with the use of FT-IR diffuse reflectance measurements for the monitoring of silane-treated naturally occurring kaolin clays. We show quantitative results for three of the most common silanized clays including precision and accuracy data obtained from neat, unprocessed samples. No Kubelka-Munk correction was required since the Δlog (1/R) values measured were very low, as determined by comparison with Kubelka-Munk corrected data.
