Abstract
The stability and performance of a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer with a cube-corner interferometer is investigated. Evaluation of instrument performance is based on results from interferogram subtraction experiments, 100% line interpretations, and comparison with theory. It is demonstrated that cube-corner retroreflectors compensate for interferometer moving-mirror tilt, making possible accurate spectroscopic measurements well into the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. In addition, cube-corner interferometers have potential for true dual-beam FT-IR measurements.
