Abstract
A minicomputer-based hardware and software system has been developed for the acquisition and analysis of Raman spectra. The interface is capable of controlling a Cary 82 laser-Raman spectrometer or other similar units. Software routines have been developed for instrument control and data acquisition and for the analysis and manipulation of Raman data. Routines for baseline correction, peak finding, and curve fitting have been investigated. Data smoothing techniques, including Fourier analysis methods, have also been utilized.
