Abstract
Chromium, nickel, copper, and manganese content was determined in samples of low alloy steel, B.S.S. certification, by means of a method described previously involving the dispersion of the sample by a condensed spark under water. Our main interest was to test the applicability for the atomic absorption analysis of the alloys. In nearly every case, the analysis was completed in less than 10 min. Other elements in the sample can be analyzed in a similar manner. Results on tungsten samples are also included.
