Errata

In the article entitled “Subcutaneous Neoplasms of the Ventral Abdomen with Features of Adrenocortical Tumors in Two Ferrets,” by M. Smith and F. Y. Schulman (pp. 951-954), we apologize to the authors for not including the authors' corrections in the printed article, as follows:

On page 951, in the Abstract, the 4^th sentence should read, “Spindloid cells demonstrated strong cytoplasmic reactivity for alpha smooth muscle actin, muscle-specific actin, desmin, and glial fibrillary acidic protein.”

On page 954:

a.The 2^nd full sentence on the page should read, “In humans, tumors that stain positively for inhibin have been reported in the liver,¹⁷ pancreas,⁷ digestive tract,⁷ pituitary gland,¹⁶ and breast¹⁰ and include endometrioid tumors of the uterus¹⁸ and granular cell tumors⁸; however, these tumor types with histomorphology similar to adrenal cortical tumors with smooth muscle proliferation have not been described in ferrets.”

b. In the next to the last sentence of the paragraph that begins “Ultrastructurally, endocrine cells have abundant …”, the parenthetical reference to Figure 6 [“(Fig. 6)”] should be deleted.

c. In reference number 2, the publisher's information should read “Churchill Livingston, Philadelphia, PA, USA”.

d. In reference number 6, the publisher's information should read “Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, DC, USA”.

In the Letters to the Editor section in Veterinary Pathology, Vol. 44, No. 6 (pp. 962-964), the second letter, which begins on page 963 was given the heading “Author's Response”. This heading was incorrect, because the two letters in this section are not related. It should be introduced as “Editor”.

The author had included a title with her letter; however, Journal style precludes the inclusion of titles with Letters to the Editor. We include it here now, at the author's request, as the first sentence of the first paragraph: “Hamster Cheek Pouch–Not a Mucosal Surface!”

In addition, we apologize to Dr. Riley for inadvertently dropping the DVM from her name in the signature line of her letter, which should read “Julia H. Riley, DVM, MS”.
