Abstract
The purpose of this article is to examine what counter- and anti-terrorism techniques are currently being implemented in American law enforcement, and to compare those techniques against other countries' law enforcement systems for combating terrorism. Recommendations are made for future approaches for American law enforcement's response to terrorism. Utilising currently effective anti-terrorism and counterterrorism measures, eliminating ineffective measures, and including foreign measures that have been proven to work, the United States law enforcement approach for combating terrorism will become more effective and efficient.
