Abstract
The Director's Forum is designed to guide pharmacy leaders in establishing patient-centered services in hospitals and health systems. This article focuses on the pharmacy department annual report. The annual report is an effective tool for advancing a department's practice model; it describes the framework of the department's plan and lists accomplishments in a specific time period. The annual report can also be a valuable tool in growing the pharmacy practice model by highlighting a future vision based on the past year's results. The annual report can have various formats depending on the target audience, but it is key to develop a report that is easy to read and simply describes the values of the pharmacy programs throughout the year. If thoughtfully developed, formatted, and distributed, the annual report can be a valuable tool in helping the pharmacy director to develop patient-centered services.
