Abstract
The Director's Forum series is designed to guide pharmacy leaders in establishing patient-centered services in hospitals and health systems. This month's article continues the focus on the use of mind mapping to clarify and simplify complex pharmacy department issues. A Mind Map is a diagram used to represent concepts, words, tasks, or other items related to a central key word or idea. Mind Maps are used to form, visualize, generate, categorize, and classify ideas, and they aid in a variety of activities including problem solving, writing, and making key decisions. This article describes ways for pharmacy leaders to effectively support transformational practice change through the applied use of Mind Maps.
