We continue to look at the rapidly evolving topic of the meaningful use of electronic health records (EHRs). Last month, we addressed preliminary meaningful use requirements; in this column, we call for a continued, concerted effort from pharmacy personnel to ensure that the health information technologies that we implement to improve patient safety do indeed positively impact the health care provided to our patients.
