The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA; the Stimulus) has remained a hot topic in the lay media and in health care circles alike. We previously provided an overview of the broad implications of the Stimulus for the health care sector. There are many aspects to the ambitious plan of nationwide electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) adoption, including technical and privacy considerations. This column addresses workforce, another critical component of the effort.
