Abstract
Whenever we speak to pharmacists in seminars around the country, we ask the question, “How much of the available capability in your computer and smart phone are you utilizing?” The typical answer is between 5% and 10%. In the past, we held technology “boot camps” to rectify this situation. People traveled to Auburn from as far away as the UK to attend 2-day sessions focused on skill building, beginning with how to find the power switch. Since that time, we have presented our boot camps at health systems. Most health systems were focused on developing foundational skills in physicians who were reluctant to use electronic clinical applications.
