Abstract
Due to popular demand, we are resuming our PDA (personal digital assistant) Interface column and are devoting our first piece to helping readers evaluate the iPhone, which is Apple Computer's first entry into the smart-phone environment. In a recent national meeting, we asked our audience of pharmacists how many of them had purchased the iPhone. Only about 5% raised their hands. Since its introduction earlier in the year, we are frequently asked about the iPhone. The number 1 question we receive is whether or not the 2 of us have chosen to move to this device. Other questions focus on whether or not the iPhone is a good fit for a pharmacist. What follows is our considered opinion.
