Abstract
In this paper a description of multimodal measurement procedure, together with a complete processing path is provided as a demonstration of methods developed to perform integrated measurement and to generate a realistic 3D model. The shape and appearance of the resulting model is supposed to resemble objects behaviour in arbitrary illumination conditions. To accomplish this, the described integrated measuring device allows for accurate estimation of the 3D surface geometry, while a set of spectral filters and directional illuminators allows for multispectral color calculation and estimation of angular reflectance characteristics. The processing path is described with examples of visualized data at several stages for demonstration. Typical setup parameters and the overall time costs are also given for consideration. A real time rendering of the model is provided from several viewing directions to reveal the advantage of multimodal processing and the resemblance of object's non-trivial appearance.
