The application of Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) in civil engineering is a growing field in the world. Recent developments in mainland China in structural strengthening and rehabilitation using FRP are discussed in this paper. It includes general research, application, standards and specifications. Specific problems related to the use of this technology in mainland China are also examined.
