Abstract
Absorption coefficients, which have been shown to give accurate predictions using a number of computer models, each using a different modelling technique, are presented. The types of room simulated were various, as were the room acoustic parameters predicted. For highly absorbent materials it has been shown that the use of Millington based absorption coefficients gives improved prediction accuracy and hence Millington coefficients are also presented. With this data it is now possible to introduce limited standardisation when using computer models to predict room acoustics parameters.
