Abstract
Hong Kong has one of the most stringent environmental noise regulations in the world, while being one of the most densely populated cities as well. Hence, the design of the urban rail system crossing the city has been heavily focused on noise mitigation. Trelleborg has contributed to the noise reduction by delivering crucial components to what may become one of the quietest railway systems in the world.
