Abstract
Ever since the late 1970s when requirements for increased driver and passenger comfort grew rapidly, a substantial amount of effort has been put into the improvement of noise and vibration suppression. And it is not as simple as stuffing as much insulation as possible into a door panel to make the interior quiet. Today, most automakers prioritize NVH as highly as safety, design and technological performance.
