Abstract
The UK Department of the Environment (Defra), together with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), has published “Guidance on the Creation and Maintenance of Effective Noise Management Policies and Practice for Local Authorities and their Officers”. This document updates and extends the advice in the original Noise Management Guide, published by the CIEH in 1997 and replaces the original document in its entirety.
