Abstract
This study describes vibration levels and patterns generated by a rotory gear pump after the bearings had begun to degrade. The vibration patterns and trends were not unexpected. The machine was operated at significantly increased vibration levels for 15 months. The article includes photographs of component wear. It is hoped that the dats will help the reader evaluate potential remaining life of similar machines with similar faults.
