Abstract
March 8th saw the release of figures providing information on new claims and first diagnosis of prescribed diseases in Great Britain in the fourth quarter of 2000. The Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) quarterly statistics provide analysis of the characteristics of the Industrial Injuries, new claims and first diagnosed disease assessments for the quarter. The types of analysis include numbers and ages of claimants and percentage disablement of newly diagnosed prescribed diseases. Annual assessments provide detailed characteristics of the people receiving IIDB at the end of each year, including individuals by specific disease or accident.
