Abstract

The ancient town of Senlis, about 40km North of Paris, attracts visitors to its Roman remains, medieval buildings, churches and cathedral, but is also favoured as the location of CETIM, the major French technical and research centre for the mechanical engineering industries, which houses the Departments of Industrial Acoustics and Vibrations.
