Abstract
The US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) claims to be leading the Chapter 4 activities within the Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The outcome will be the next generation international noise certification standard for subsonic jet transport planes. And the work is on schedule.
