Abstract
An EU proposal on the protection of workers from vibration has been in the pipeline for some years. During the recent French presidency a revised proposal has been brought forward, and is now going through a consultation process; that resolved, the proposals, then in the form of a Directive, will become legally binding on all EU member states. The British Engineering Employers Federation believe the proposals to be flawed in a number of areas, and is keen to see it amended.
