Abstract
In the wind energy system, high power grid-connected converter is commonly used, and a LCL filter is widely used to eliminate the harmonics of switching frequency. However, the LCL filter may cause the instability and the loss of unity power factor. The later cannot be compensated by controlling the converter side currents. In this paper, a new control scheme of sliding mode technique is presented to increase the power factor and to stabilize the system from the low frequency resonance. It is shown that the stability is quite robust. Simulation is carried out by Matlab/Simulink/Powersystem for static and dynamic characteristics. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
