Abstract
The foldable systems for structural applications can be constituted by means of certain basis units. One of them is called “truss module with quadrangular base”, which is basically formed by four bars rotating around a piece of central connection, and which could include other additional elements to facilitate its stability or incorporate possible solutions for the covering. The present work describes the generation processes necessary for configuring frameworks from the mentioned module and analyses its behaviour during the unfolding process and in the service conditions.
