Abstract
The purpose of this work is to investigate energy policies of Turkey. Turkey is a developing country and still has some burdens to overcome regarding social and economic development. Due to its demographic and economic growth, Turkey constitutes a major energy market. Domestic energy production has not exceeded half of energy demand. Turkey's national energy policies are designed to provide the required energy on a timely, reliable, cost effective, environment-friendly, and high-quality basis so as to serve as the driving force of development and social progress.
