The aim of this study was to investigate a number of issues involving UK shoulder surgeons' use of ultrasound. We surveyed members of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society by inviting them to complete a questionnaire. Data collected included the incidence of the use of shoulder ultrasound in clinic, indications for ultrasound, the experience and training undertaken by those performing the scan, and source of funding for equipment.
