Abstract
Tumours of the Meckel's diverticulum are uncommon, with carcinoid tumours being the commonest type. Primary adenocarcinomas are extremely rare, but when seen are from gastric or pancreatic heterotopic cells. We report a case of primary intestinal adenocarcinoma arising in a Meckel's diverticulum in a 36 year old man, presenting with small bowel obstruction. The patient had a successful outcome following surgical resection.
