Abstract

Cure rates and quality of life have been greatly enhanced for gynaecological cancer patients over the last 25 years. 1 We seem to be good at body and not bad at mind, but we have totally lost the capacity to care for the patient’ spirit/soul. In fact, we have even lost the capacity to talk about this aspect with our patients. The re‐introduction of the ‘spiritual’ into cancer care is something which many of our patients yearn for. We have to find a method of re‐discovering this aspect of care.
