Abstract
The Royal Society of Medicine Press has decided to introduce as a regular feature of the Journal a selection of abstracts from 60 of the leading journals which regularly publish in the field of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. The aim is to inform readers of recent advances, which they may otherwise have overlooked. The articles included are personal selections made by Dr W W Dinsmore (Editor) and myself. We hope that this will provide a valuable service.
