Characterization of the analogues to human pregnancy-associated α 2 -glycoprotein ( α 2 PAG,PZP) isolated in the mouse and rat

Abstract

Immunological cross-reaction and antigenic identity between pregnancy-associated α ₂-glycoprotein (α ₂PAG) and α ₂PAG analogues in the mouse and the rat are demonstrated. The proteins have been characterized independently in 2 different laboratories and the physicochemical and biological properties of the rat and the mouse α ₂PAG analogues and human α ₂PAG are compared and discussed.
