Abstract
After 2 serious laboratory fires attributable to the use of ether in animal experimental work, it was decided to promote the use of a non-inflammable anaesthetic. A halothane anaesthetic apparatus of simple design suitable for rodents is described. Previous ether users willingly adopted its use.
