Abstract
An easily manoeuvrable small-animal operating table, to be used in conjunction with halothane anaesthesia, and a method of hypophysectomy in rats under halothane anaesthesia introduced by intubation, are described. The advantages of halothane anaesthesia and animal manoeuvrability in surgical procedures are discussed.
