Abstract
The Information Management Committee of the Process Industries Division of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers organized two seminars on the subject of ‘Data management and document control’ during 1995. The first was held in London on 28 March, attracting about 70 delegates. Its popularity prompted the Committee to organize a modified repeat in the Teeside area, with its high concentration of process industries, on 28 September, and this was attended by over 50 delegates from a variety of sectors including oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power generation, water and food.
