Fuzzy production systems can be used to represent procedural knowledge. The proposed fast rule of inference evaluation method opens up the possibility of evaluating, in real time, long productions found in multi-output and decision-support systems. The results obtained show clearly the benefits to be gained by the use of this fast algorithm.
