The conversion procedures of slow model parameters to those of the fast model in self-tuning controllers based on dual-rate sampling are given. The proposed model parameter conversion allows the use of a larger sampling interval for on-line parameter estimation and a smaller one for control. Some results from an extensive simulation study are presented.
