With the reduced class contact hours associated with many Bachelor of Engineering undergraduate courses and the continually broadening applications of computer technology, a new philosophical approach is required in the teaching of thermofluid mechanics. In this paper, thermofluid mechanics is considered as an element of engineering design and the means of a computer-based integration within a composite course structure is addressed.
