Abstract
Market requirements for high-quality, minimum-cost components developed with minimum lead times necessitate the integration of quality, manufacturing and design activities at the very start of the product life cycle. This paper describes the development of integrated engineering software that addresses these requirements as applied to the design and development of automotive piston assemblies.
