Abstract
A new way of plotting the cylindrical blade, shown in this paper, guarantees that the vane setting angle varies linearly and continuously smooth streamlines are thus obtained to avoid flow separation within the impeller channels. The blade contour is the solution to a differential equation in polar coordinates.
