The application of standards for the control of incinerator emissions is examined. Studies on incinerator emissions and statutory limits on discharges fail to conform to standard conditions. Inadequate knowledge on incineration processes contributes to the inability to define certain design standards, while the lack of agreement on standard conditions for emissions makes comparisons difficult.
