This paper describes the realization of the economic volume production of high speed plain bearings with precise profiles specified by advanced bearing performance techniques. Details of the operational, design and manufacturing requirements, together with the manufacturing method adopted, are given. The marketing strategy for the new products and the improvements in productivity attained are outlined.
