Abstract
In 1981 Appledore Shipbuilders implemented a Computervision CAD/CAM system to evaluate its application to shipbuilding and to use it for production work. This paper describes how the system's facilities have been used, what has been achieved to date and how it interfaces with shipbuilding technology.
