Abstract
SYNOPSIS A survey of a variety of engineering experiences including education, wartime work on gunsighting and rockets, teaching at Cambridge and MIT, research in automatic control and stepless power transmissions, lecturing in France and Holland, and directing research at the Motor Industry Research Association, some of whose principal areas of work are indicated.
