The paper describes an experimental investigation into the combustion of suspensions of liquid fuels in cold compressed air. The data presented include measurements of air swirl in the chamber as well as the characteristics of a fully developed spray. The combustion experiments are aimed at determining the influence of spray size and penetration on the process.
