Abstract
A method for producing thin-walled containers direct from the molten state, by forming a bubble into a mould somewhat on the lines of glass-blowing, has obvious attractions in terms of manufacturing cost and versatility in the shapes and sizes that might be readily produced. The design of experimental equipment for exploring the feasibility of such a process is described, together with some preliminary experimental results.
