The first part of this paper is concerned with the description of the different methods commonly used in compensating pressurized oil film bearings. The load-oil film thickness relationship for different methods of compensation and the power dissipated in bearings are given for the sake of comparison.
The second part of this paper is designed to suggest another method of compensation, the theoretical analysis, the design equations of which have been presented.
