There is at present no single communications medium suitable for all types of compressor which demonstrates visually power, flow, temperature, and stress limits together on one diagram, in terms directly relevant to the process conditions with which the machines have to comply. This paper discusses the suitability of the line pressure diagram in meeting these requirements and points to some of the implications which this diagram presents, both for single and multi-machine installations of constant or variable speed, and for different types of machines in parallel or series arrangement. The paper constitutes a further development of information previously presented.
