This paper is concerned only with skin panels. A system centred on a digital computer is suggested though it has not yet made of having implemented the total system. Parts of the system have been completely implemented. The computer has proved of use in other areas to relieve the designer of routine and time-consuming tasks, such as plotting wheel movement envelopes and as an aid to the design of small press tools for internal panels, but this subject is not covered here.
