Advances in technology have led to the development of a new type of lubricating grease. The product described in this paper is a calcium-lead-complex grease which possesses a combination of high drop point and load-carrying capacity, together with other improved characteristics. Laboratory rig test data and documentation of extensive field evaluation demonstrate the suitability of this new grease for a much wider range of industrial applications than has hitherto been possible with a single product.
